How do members of leadership within your company conduct themselves? Do they speak up at meetings, offer feedback and insight, dress up a little more, etc.? By mimicking the actions of those you look up to, you’ll begin to align yourself with a career path that furthers your role within your company.

Take Credit Where Credit is Due

Keep track of how you’ve helped and what you’ve accomplished in your job. This will be valuable information of which to remind your employer during your next review. It’s also important to give credit to co-workers who have helped you—it takes a team to accomplish great things, and no one works alone.
